The cost of doing what you love
I used to believe that doing what you love should feel easy.
That alignment would feel like flow.
That the right decision would feel like peace.
But the further I go, the more I’ve realized:
There’s a cost to doing what you love.
To ask the universe for both fulfillment and wealth…
You have to be willing to pay with your comfort.
Not through more hustle, grind, or sleepless nights.
But through the quiet, intentional discomfort of choosing growth over ease.
We pay through the parts of ourselves that resist the work:
→ To market with ease, we face our resistance to structure, tech, and strategy.
→ To write copy that connects, we face our discomfort with learning how.
→ To show up consistently, we face our fear of being seen — and judged.
→ To invest in growth, we face our relationship with risk and money.
The work isn’t hard because it’s wrong.
It’s hard because it stretches the parts of us still hiding.
So the next time you feel stuck…
Ask yourself:
Where am I choosing comfort over courage?
