- Stress comes from doing nothing
Stress comes from doing nothing
I used to think stress came from having too much to do.
Nope.
Stress comes from knowing what you need to do and not doing it.
That project you keep putting off?
That conversation you're avoiding?
That business idea sitting in your notes app?
THAT'S what's stressing you out.
Not your actual workload.
I had this realization last week when I was procrastinating on launching a new offer. I kept telling myself I was "too busy" to set it up.
But I wasn't too busy.
I was scared.
Scared it wouldn't work.
Scared people would judge me.
Scared of the unknown.
So instead of doing the thing, I just... didn't. And felt like crap about it every single day.
Then I remembered something my mentor told me years ago:
"Action cures anxiety."
So I cleared my calendar. Canceled three meetings. And spent four hours setting up the damn offer.
You know what happened?
The stress disappeared immediately.
Before I even launched it.
Because stress isn't about the outcome.
It's about the avoidance.
So what are you avoiding right now?
What's that thing you KNOW you should do but keep putting off?
Do it today.
Even if it's just for 30 minutes.
Clear the deck and take action.
Your future self will thank you.
