Stop Letting Your Bank Account Dictate Your Vibe

Why Your Present Reality is a Reflection of Your Past Choices—Not Your Future Potential

Most of us let our present reality dictate our vibe.

  • The amount of money in the bank says something about me.

  • The number of people who attended my free workshop says something about me.

  • The engagement on my post says something about me.

The warning bells start ringing when reality doesn’t match our expectations, leaving us feeling inadequate and questioning our worth.

But here’s the thing—stop letting your default settings control you.
Stop making those numbers mean something about you.

You might be thinking, “Easy for you to say. My bank account is sinking faster than the Titanic, and I’ve got mouths to feed!”

I get it. I don’t say this to dismiss your struggle—I say it to offer a new perspective.

The energy you hold is the energy you attract:

  • Scarcity attracts scarcity.

  • Judgment invites more judgment.

  • Mistrust only breeds more mistrust.

If you keep letting your current situation dictate your vibe, you’ll keep repeating the same frustrating cycle, no matter how hard you try to break it.

So what’s the solution?

You set your vibe first.
Imagine the version of you that has already accomplished everything you want in business.

You might be asking, “Am I supposed to go into more debt and spend like that version of me?”

Probably not. But here’s what I am suggesting: If you embody that future version of yourself and bring that energy into today’s challenges, how would you approach discomfort? Would you move toward uncertainty or shy away from it? How much confidence would you bring to your work?

Think of it like the oxygen mask analogy—you’ve got to secure your own first before you can help anyone else.

“But how does that help my bank account?” you might ask.

A mentor once told me, “Your bank account is always six months behind. It doesn’t reflect who you are today—it’s a snapshot of who you were six months ago.”

It may not change your financial situation today, but it will set the stage for the future.

You have two choices:

  • Act from a place of scarcity, reinforcing that cycle.

  • Or act from a place of abundance, setting a new vibe that will shift your reality over time.

Being an entrepreneur requires living in a distorted reality—where your vibe creates the future, not the other way around. So why not choose a story that serves you better?

Food for thought. Cheers,
