I fell off and here's why

I ghosted you. No newsletter. No updates. Nothing.

At first I told myself I was just busy recording a new course. Then another one. Then the world lit on fire and I convinced myself no one wanted business stuff anyway.

At least, that’s the lie I told myself.

My natural tendency is to hide. If I could make great money coaching and stay invisible, I'd probably choose that. Comfort feels safe. But comfort and courage don't live in the same house.

So I had to get honest with myself about what was really going on.

Here's what snapped me out of it.

First, I noticed my ego running the show. My ego is basically a snotty little kid who grabbed the wheel when I wasn't looking. He's scared of being judged. He wants to stay in control. And he wants to feel safe. So, I had to pull him out of the driver's seat and let the grown-up take over.

Second, I noticed I was being selfish. My buddy Nick always says “You don't get what you want, you get what you give.” When I was stuck I was focused only on myself. The second I shifted focus to who I was serving, everything loosened up.

That's what got me back on track.
