I bombed a launch in November

I spent $2,400 on a launch in November 2021.

Made back $800.

That’s terrible math.

I crashed out. Blamed my marketing. Blamed my offer. Blamed my tech person. (Poor guy.)

I blamed everything except the real problem.

The problem was November.

Nobody buys coaching programs during Thanksgiving week.

Sure, deal seekers are out for Black Friday. But nobody’s thinking about massive business decisions while eating turkey, sippin’ eggnog, and shopping for Christmas gifts.

But I didn’t know that yet.

I learned the hard way. (As I usually do.)

Now I use November differently. I don’t try to force sales that won’t happen.

Instead, I build stuff.

I work on my business instead of in it.

Working in your business is the daily grind — emails, client calls, putting out fires.

Working on your business is different. It’s building new offers. Creating better systems. The stuff that makes you money later.

November and December are perfect for this. Same with July and August.

Those months suck for sales. But they’re great for building.

Then when January hits? I’m ready.

I’ve got a new offer. A launch plan. And I’m not scrambling like everyone else.

September and October are when I launch hard. Same with January through May.

That’s when people actually buy.

You can fight the calendar. Or you can work with it.

I tried fighting it once. Lost $1,600.

Now I just build during the quiet months.

Talk soon,
