Do This Instead of Building a Website

Websites are an ego play. The thought is …

Websites are an ego play. The thought is …

If I look like an authority, people will treat me like one.”

But there’s a flaw in this logic.

It assumes that someone will buy with 1 impression.

And that’s never the case.

It’s an accumulation of micro-decisions that allows a client to choose you over the competition.

And the only way to accumulate these micro-decisions is if you own the communication.

AKA, you must own your list.

Websites are a waste if you can’t convert a visitor into a lead.

Most websites are a hub of useless information meant to make someone look good. And the more fluff, the more indecision.

Authority plays a role, but not before conversion.

What you need instead of a website is a landing page.

A landing page is one page and has one purpose… to convert visitors to leads. Period.

It has no tabs at the top to link to other pages.

Every button points back to opting in.

You have no choice but to give your information or leave the page.

Think about it …

If you had an email list of 5k subscribers who knew what problem you solved and you communicated with them 2-3 times a week, you would inevitably make sales.

And imagine what would happen if you put real effort into building an audience of 50k+ subscribers who knew what problem you solved, you would make money for a lifetime.

Stop thinking about looking good and start focusing on owning and adding value to your list.

Convert. Convert. Convert.

Cheers,
