5 No-Cost Strategies to Grow Your Audience

#1. Leverage Partnerships

When I was growing up Starbucks opened stores next to

Jamba Juice, Barnes & Noble, and Noah’s Bagels.

Why?

Because they all catered to a different family member’s needs.

One person’s spend wouldn’t cannibalize another’s.

But what does this mean for you?

It means another business already has your audience.

And I don’t necessarily mean your competition.

For instance, if you specialize in home organizing,

a business that builds custom closets

could be serving your future clients right now.

Could you explore partnerships to

cross-promote each other’s businesses?

#2. Maximize Conversion Efficiency

I don’t want people coming to my website,

checking it out, never to be seen again.

It’s pointless unless you have a massive personal brand.

If you’re a coaching business earning less than $250k,

optimize all your sites for conversion.

This means that the main goal of every page should be to capture contact information.

I recommend landing pages that present visitors

with a straightforward choice: bounce-in or bounce-out.

It minimizes distractions and maximizes your chances of

converting a casual browser into a potential client.

#3. Offer Irresistible Value

Nobody WANTS to give away their email address.

It’s annoying to wake up and be bombarded by random emails.

Your guide, pdf, checklist, newsletter, micro training, or downloadable needs be juicy.

It’s your one opportunity to make a lasting impression So give away your best stuff.

And now on every link in bio, blog post,

podcast, guest coaching, keynote, or collaboration

points right back to your landing page to capture those valuable emails.

#4. Capitalize on Word of Mouth

Seriously, everyone’s obsessed with growth hacks,

but nothing beats a solid referral.

Instead of looking for shortcuts

focus on improving your product.

Got a podcast, newsletter, or guide?

How can you optimize the headline?

Can you improve the content?

Or Increase the frequency of delivery?

#5. Take Initiative

The power of a direct ask cannot be overstated.

If you believe in the value you provide,

be bold and ask for what you want.

  • Want more referrals? Ask your current clients.

  • Believe your podcast could help someone? Reach out and tell them.

  • Convinced your coaching can solve problems? Make the offer.

Action invites opportunity.

Don’t wait for chances to come to you

Create them by stepping forward and making your value known.
